Blessed with a wise-beyond-her-years intelligence, maturity and screen presence, the bespectacled Bebe Wood proved a remarkable find and a child actress of uncommon talent and depth. Born in Kansas City, MO, Bebe Wood always had a passion for theater, and earned valuable experience in local productions as well as at the Theatre for Young America, Music Theatre for Young People, and Heart of America Shakespeare Festival. In 2011, she made her screen debut with a pair of roles, appearing in the short "Skindergarten" (2011) as well as an installment of the actors-in-the-big-city webseries "Submissions Only." The young actress made a big splash when she was cast on "30 Rock" (NBC, 2006- 201) as Cat, a young girl whose whip-smart, wry sense of humor causes Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) to see her as a kindred spirit and to realize having a child might be worthwhile after all. Wood followed this with a guest spot on the Emmy-winning comedy "Veep" (HBO, 2012- ) but landed her star-making role as the sharp-witted, weirdly charming Shania Clemmons, daughter to a surrogate (Georgia King) to a gay couple (Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells) on Ryan Murphy's "The New Normal" (NBC, 2012-13), where she quickly stole scenes and proved herself an exceptional comic talent. After that series ended, Wood co-starred in the dark holiday comedy "A Merry Friggin' Christmas" (2014), which featured one of Robin Williams' final screen roles. She returned to TV as the youngest child, budding atheist Shannon, on the sitcom "The Real O'Neals" (ABC 2016- ).
