Aristotle Athari, born in 1991 in Plano, Texas, is an American comedian, actor, and filmmaker of Iranian descent. He began his career in stand-up comedy and gained prominence as a member of the sketch comedy group Goatface, alongside Hasan Minhaj, Asif Ali, and Fahim Anwar. Their work culminated in a one-hour special on Comedy Central in 2018.
Athari had a recurring role as Gabe in the final season of HBO's "Silicon Valley" in 2019. In 2021, he joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) for its 47th season, becoming the second cast member of Iranian descent and the first male Middle Eastern American on the show. He did not return for the 48th season.
