This Is Us has continued to build the characters introduced at the beginning of Season 4, and while the most recent episode included a major development for Cassidy (Jennifer Morrison) and Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) relationship, the next installment is focusing on a different portion of the Pearson family.

In the episode titled “The Dinner and the Date,” the storyline introduced during the previous episode involving young Randall’s (Lonnie Chavis) teacher coming to dinner will be explored. Meanwhile, in the present timeline, viewers will spend moments with new character Malik (Asante Blackk) and Deja (Lyric Ross).

According to the episode’s logline, Deja will push the boundaries of trust with Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson), but fans will have to wait and see how that plays out when “The Dinner and the Date” airs November 5.
