Where Are the ‘Teen Mom’ Kids Now? Inside Their Lives as Teenagers
In 2009, MTV launched the series 16 and Pregnant, which followed teenagers navigating pregnancies across the United States. This led to the spinoff Teen Mom, featuring four of the stars of 16 and Pregnant Season 1. The second season spawned the spinoff Teen Mom 2 in similar fashion.
It’s now been 17 years since we were first introduced to these women and their babies, who are now teenagers themselves. Over the years, cast members have kept fans updated on their children’s lives via social media, even after they stopped filming the show (the last season of the franchise, Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, aired more than a year ago in 2025).
Those who have been following the Teen Mom ladies since the beginning can’t get over just how much the children have grown up right before our eyes. Scroll down to see what the OG kids from Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 look like today and to find out what they’re up to now.
Bentley Edwards
Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards welcomed son Bentley Edwards on Season 1 of 16 Pregnant. As of September 2026, he is in his senior year of high school.
Per his Instagram bio, Bentley has committed to play baseball at Motlow State Community College in Tennessee. He plans to major in business.
In addition to baseball, Bentley was also on the golf team in high school and was previously a champion wrestler.
He is a big brother to Maci’s two children with husband Taylor McKinney, Jayde and Maverick. Through his dad, he also has three more half-siblings. Ryan shares daughter Stella and son Jagger with ex Mackenzie Standifer, as well as a daughter, Presley, with wife Amanda Conner.
Sophia Abraham
Sophia Abraham is the only daughter of Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham and her late boyfriend, Derek. She turned 17 in February 2026.
Sophia has her own Instagram page, which is managed by Farrah, where she shares updates about her life. She got her license in December 2025 and went to prom in April 2026, although she revealed in her Instagram caption that she is homeschooled.
Farrah recently revealed that Sophia is writing a book “on adolescent fame, her adolescence, and coming into herself and what that looks like to her.
Leah Shirley
Leah Shirley, the daughter of Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley, turned 17 in November 2025. She has an Instagram account where she documents her life, including events such as prom in May 2026.
Leah has a strained relationship with her mother and they are currently estranged. In a July 2026 Instagram post, she referred to Gary’s now-wife, Kristina, as her “mama.”
Leah is a big sister to Gary and Kristina’s daughter, Emilee, and also appears to be close with her stepsister, Karly, from a past relationship of Kristina’s. It’s unclear whether she has a relationship with Amber’s son, James, who lives with his father, Andrew Glennon, in California.
Jace Evans

Teen Mom 2’s Jenelle Evans welcomed Jace with then-boyfriend Andrew Lewis in high school. In August 2026, Jace turned 17.
Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans, gained temporary custody of Ace in 2010 and became his permanent legal guardian in 2017. In 2023, Jenelle regained custody of her eldest son.
Over the years, Jace has dealt with mental health issues and checked himself into a treatment facility in February 2026 after Barbara claimed he threatened her and held a “gun to his head.” He was released in August 2026 and Jenelle told Us Weekly he had returned to live with Barbara.
“My mother and I have mutually agreed upon his living situation and circumstances,” she said. “Jace wants to be around his friends and is now working at his job again he once had. I’m really happy all parties can come together for my son and finally agree on something.”
Through Jenelle’s relationships with exes Nathan Griffith and David Eason, Jace is a big brother to half-siblings Kaiser Griffith and Ensley Eason.

Aubree Lind-DeBoer
On Season 2 of 16 and Pregnant, Chelsea DeBoer (née Houska) gave birth to daughter Aubree with then-boyfriend Adam Lind.
Aubree turned 17 in September 2026 and Chelsea celebrated with an Instagram tribute, including a current photo of Aubree with multi-colored hair and fake eyelashes.
After a contentious breakup, Chelsea and Adam reunited to celebrate Aubree’s birthday.
Aubree is a big sister to Chelsea’s three children with now-husband Cole DeBoer (son Watson and daughters Layne and Walker), as well as Adam’s daughter, Paislee, with ex Taylor Halbur.
Elliott Rivera
Kailyn Lowry and Jo Rivera welcomed their son Elliott Rivera (born Isaac Rivera) in January 2010. When he was 15 years old in 2025, he came out as gay and revealed he would be going by his middle name, Elliott, moving forward.
Per his Instagram bio, which is managed by his mother, Elliott is a “young aspiring actor” who is “passionate” about American Sign Language.
Elliott is a big brother to Kailyn’s six other children (she shares Lincoln with Javi Marroquin, Lux and Creed with Chris Lopez, and Rio, Verse, and Valley with Elijah Scott.) He also has a half-sister, Vivi, through Jo and his wife, Vee, and Vee is currently pregnant with the pair’s second child.
Aleeah & Ali Simms
Leah Messer and then-boyfriend Corey Simms welcomed twins Aleeah and Aliannah (Ali) in December 2009.
As a child, Ali was diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of muscular dystrophy. She has managed her symptoms, gotten stronger, and taken up horseback riding. In August 2026, Ali revealed that she had raised enough money to get a service dog, which will help her as she navigates going to college in the future.
Both Ali and Aleeah document their lives on their respective Instagram accounts, which are managed by their parents. Aleeah attended prom in 2026 with Sam Snyder, who called her his “forever prom date.”
The girls are big sisters to Leah and ex Jeremy Calvert’s daughter Addie, as well as Corey and his wife Miranda’s daughter, Remington.
