Bravo Team was so close yet so far from rescuing their brother in the fall finale — what will it take to get him back when SEAL Team returns in 2021?

The CBS drama picks up on January 13 with the team still together as they try to find the missing Ray Perry (Neil Brown Jr.), taken while in Tunisia on his first assignment as warrant officer. But as the photos from “The Carrot or the Stick” (below) show, it looks like they’re grasping at straws while Ray himself may be his own best hope for escape.

And who can blame Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz), back in the field to help after deciding he was done with operating, for feeling frustrated? In the last episode, Bravo realized they found the room Ray was being held in minutes too late.

Will Ray survive captivity? How long will it take for him to be rescued? Will Bravo bring him home to his family alive? Scroll down for a look at the winter return.
