Lifetime is raising the stakes with its newest docuseries Prison Brides, which is set to premiere Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
The show follows seven women from around the world who believe they’ve found their soulmates within the United States prison system. While they may have started as mere prison pen pals, these women have fallen hard and are finding themselves willing to risk everything for the sake of love.
The series will chronicle their travels from home to the United States where they’ll meet their prisoner fiancés, husbands, or partners for the first time with the hope of charting their futures together. As the couples face judgment from their families, friends, and even strangers, the brides grapple with the weight of their decision to invest in these inmates.
