‘Peaky Blinders’: Jamie Bell, Charlie Heaton to Lead Sequel Series
A few new faces are set to lead Peaky Blinders as the sequel series expands the world beyond the Shelby family, introducing a new generation of power players navigating the shifting criminal landscape in the wake of Tommy Shelby’s reign.
Jamie Bell will take over the role of Tommy Shelby’s son, Duke Shelby, which was originally played by Conrad Khan in the series and Barry Keoghan in the film. In addition to Bell, Stranger Things‘ Charlie Heaton will join the cast as well.

When will the new Peaky Blinders series premiere?
Two seasons, each consisting of six hour-long episodes, have been ordered and are in the process of development, but there is no premiere date at this time. Please check back for updates.
What is the new sequel series about?
According to the official description, the series takes place in Britain in 1953: “After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight‘s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.”
What was Peaky Blinders about?
Created by Steven Knight, Peaky Blinders debuted on Netflix in 2013, introducing the world to the criminal mastermind known as Thomas “Tommy” Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. Calculating and enigmatic, he was the leader of the Peaky Blinders, and for six seasons, audiences followed his antics as he and his boys evolved from a small-time street gang to a criminal empire.
Stacked with a formidable cast that delivered magnetic performances, the blend of historical drama and modern storytelling was downright hypnotic, as the saga of the Shelby family and their criminal enterprises kept audiences entranced until the series ended in 2022.
In 2026, the feature film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man ended the story of Tommy Shelby and handed off the Peaky Blinders to his son Duke, played by Barry Keoghan in the film, but by Bell in the sequel series.
Who will star in the Peaky Blinders sequel series?
Jamie Bell will star as Duke Shelby, Tommy’s son and the heir apparent. Also joining the cast are Charlie Heaton, Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski in her television debut.
