Lizzie’s relationships with her fellow students

While keeping up the pretense of Lizzie’s death, the rest of the school couldn’t really find anything nice to say about her — until MG stepped up. “She never stopped trying to change, but did you all let her?” he asked. “Or did you hold on to one image of her at her worst? She was an easy target who couldn’t control her brain chemistry, so it was easier to think she was broken than to root for her and accept she was changing.” Others shared their “good Lizzie stories” and, at the end of the episode, happily embraced her when they learned she was alive.

Rafael’s guilt

The Necromancer forced Rafael to stab Landon, and while the werewolf was free from that control (and alive), that doesn’t mean he’s not going to feel guilty about what he did. We already saw that in this episode.

The deal with the Necromancer

Alaric made a deal with the Necromancer to get the dark magic out of Josie — and have the dead students brought back to life and freed. It was “only a matter of time” before Josie put an end to their attempt to help her, the Necromancer warned. However, as part of the deal, the Necromancer got the black magic.

Josie’s fight with her dark side

“She is you,” Hope told her. “You can control her somehow. … Tell yourself a different story.” Josie did just that, taking back power. However, she put her siphon power into a coin, “just for a while, ’til I’m ready to use it,” she explained to Alaric.

Landon’s predicament

The deal with the Necromancer also included bringing Landon back — the Necromancer had Rafael kill him with a golden arrow — but he wasn’t awake by episode’s end.

Something’s wrong with Hope

Hope took a trip into Josie’s mind to help her friend, but she, too, had yet to wake when the spring finale ended. Alaric had no idea why.

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Season 2, Episode 16 of Legacies, “Facing Darkness Is Kinda My Thing.”]

Legacies ended Thursday’s installment with quite the cliffhanger — and it’s going to be the last episode for a while.

“Tonight, after some herculean efforts by our post production team (have YOU ever tried mixing an episode from home???), we will air our “Spring Finale” (aka ep 216),” Julie Plec revealed on Twitter prior to it airing. “More episodes to come as soon as we all go back to work!”

“Facing Darkness Is Kinda My Thing” saw Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) journey into Josie’s (Kaylee Bryant) subconscious to save her from her dark self, while Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) organized her own funeral at the Salvatore School to keep up pretenses.
