See ‘Harry Potter’ TV Cast Side by Side With Movie Versions
This winter, Harry Potter fans will get another magical ticket to ride on the Hogwarts Express when Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone premieres on Christmas Day.
HBO’s new adaptation of the Harry Potter books begins with the first chapter, as the title wizard in waiting finally discovers his true history, powers, and friendships before he faces his first major foe.
With an all-new cast and much more screen time to spend lifting the stories from the page, the series promises to bring something new to the story.
The show will have a lot to live up to, though, after the eight-part film series that has been a centerpiece of pop culture for decades at this point.
