First Look at ‘Grantchester’s Final Season as Premiere Date Is Announced (PHOTOS)

The end is near for Grantchester as the series prepares to launch its eleventh and final season on PBS Masterpiece. In anticipation of the show’s return, a premiere date and trailer have finally been unveiled.

Season 11 of Grantchester will officially debut this summer on Sunday, June 14, at 9/8c on local PBS stations as well as on streaming via the PBS app and Prime Video under the PBS Masterpiece banner. In other words, mark your calendars for the long-awaited return.

In the latest chapter of the series, things are kicking off in the momentous summer of 1963 as Alphy (Rishi Nair) connects with his estranged mother and questions his faith. Meanwhile, Geordie (Robson Green) faces a promotion that could end his crime-solving partnership with Alphy, changing their dynamic for the foreseeable future. On the other side of things, Cathy’s (Kacey Ainsworth) career is soaring in an upward trajectory.

As for Leonard (Al Weaver), he is discovering his paternal side, and Miss Scott (Melissa Johns) is facing a life-changing event that fans won’t want to miss. Tune in to see the Grantchester family face love, loss, and forgiveness for the last time onscreen. Originally debuting back in 2014, Grantchester‘s eleventh and final season wraps a run featuring more than 60 episodes.
