‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ Premiere: Annie Potts’ Meemaw Drops By in First Look (PHOTOS)
The long-awaited first look at Young Sheldon‘s multi-camera spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage has arrived!
Following Sheldon‘s series finale earlier this spring, CBS is gearing up to follow his older brother Georgie’s (Montana Jordan) story with wife Mandy (Emily Osment) as he works and lives alongside her parents, Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) and Jim (Will Sasso). As one might imagine, times will be difficult, but filled with plenty of laughter for audience members.
Or at least that seems to be the case based on the first images for the series premiere episode, “The 6:10 to Lubbock.” The installment will see Georgie and Mandy get fed up staying with her parents and they’ll reconsider their living situation after a fight between Mandy and her mom Audrey.
But besides the familial discord, there are other exciting elements to look forward to including the guest appearance of Annie Potts who reprises her role as Meemaw, grandmother to Georgie and the other Cooper kids. While Potts may appear in the first photos, below, Zoe Perry, who plays Georgie’s mom Mary is absent, but she is set to appear in the debut episode.
As the show’s co-creator and Big Bang Theory franchise helmer Chuck Lorre told TV Insider, “It’s a bumpy ride, but the bumps are comedy if handled correctly.” He went on to add, “There’s dramatic moments as well because they will face inevitable obstacles to staying together.”

Going to try to watch but it won't be the same without Memaw, Missy and Mary.

Not everyone feels this way, I felt tired of Sheldon and felt the kid outgrew the part. He's okay, just don't buy him as Sheldon anymore. Missy was one of my favorites, I really like Mandy and Georgie as the center, but think they still need the others to keep some of the dynamic. Just thoughts from the other side.

I hope we will see Missy at some point. Sheldon does say later in life she has 4 kids . She always was the rebel

Young Sheldon was an entertaining showcase on developmental psychology and here's hoping that the spin off proves to be a good one too.

I don't think this will last no more than 2 seasons. First and only marriage it will not last as long as Mary and George's marriage and surprisingly it lasted till George's death. Only reason they got married was getting married with Georgie

At one point there was a question of annie potts not playing memaw
There's no way I would watch it without annie
Potts to me she is 90% of the show The Sheldon character to me was just annoying

Won't be watching, and a visit from Annie Potts won't help. Georgie was my absolute least favorite YS character. Not the least bit interested in Mandy, and can't stand her Mother! Georgie (Montana Jordan) affects the worst accent I have ever heard! Why producers would pick this character out of great ones like MeeMaw and Dale, Missy and Mary, or even the ghost of George Sr., to center a show on, I will never understand!!!! Maybe if Jerry O'Donnell was playing the part, instead of this short little twangy-accented kid, I might .......nope....still wouldn't watch it! The only good thing about it, is Will Sasso. I wish TBBT had never made it so that George Sr. had to die; then The Coopers could go on! I loved George Sr.

Perhaps you don't like Montana Jordan's accent because you are too used to the fake Southern accents you've heard on other shows. Montana Jordan was born in Texas. My family has lived in the South since the late 1700s. In my opinion, the actors on "Young Sheldon" have the most authentic Southern accents of any show or movie. BTW, Southern accents vary considerably among locations. A Knoxville Southern accent is very different from a Savanah accent.

Maybe your issue is yourself, you're fake. No one cares about your opinion and no one cares if you do not watch the show. It sounds like you do not have a life. You're worried about a character on a television show. Many other fans will be watching and do like the characters.
