TV shows that are acclaimed are not always popular, and vice versa, but which shows have divided critics and audiences the most?

In 1950, at the end of two migrations — South Europeans from countries like Italy and African Americans who left the south to escape Jim Crow — to cities like New York and Chicago, the outsiders fought for a piece of the American dream. Two criminal syndicates, one Italian and one African American, struck an uneasy peace in Kansas City, Missouri, and control an alternate economy of exploitation, graft, and drugs.

To cement their peace, the heads of those families (one played by Rock) trade their youngest sons and raise their enemy's child as their own. But when the head of the Kansas City mafia dies after a routine surgery, "everything changes," according to the logline from FX. "It's a story of immigration and assimilation, and the things we do for money. And as always, a story of basically decent people who are probably in over their heads. You know, Fargo."
