Reboots and revivals are all the rage these days. While the long-running ABC sitcom, The Drew Carey Show, which ran from 1995-2004, isn’t getting one (yet), cast members from that series are reuniting on an upcoming episode of American Housewife.
Carey co-star Diedrich Bader (ex-Oswald), as regular Housewife viewer know, plays Greg, husband of the show’s star/title character Katy Mixon (Katie). He’ll reunite with Carey cast members Drew Carey (Drew), Ryan Stiles (Lewis), and Kathy Kinney (Mimi) in an episode titled “Bigger Kids, Bigger Problems.”
The reunion comes about when Anna-Kat’s (Julia Butters) school lunch lady, played by Kinney, refuses to make some eco-friendly changes in the school cafeteria. This prompts Greg to enlist the aid of his friend and fellow environmentalist Billy Doty (Stiles) to get Kinney’s character to change her mind. A show is put on to highlight the importance of recycling. After this effort fails to make a full impression, Greg calls in reinforcements, namely, Mr. Green, played by Carey!
