‘Arrow’ Cast Says Goodbye With Heartfelt Tributes (PHOTOS)
“Today’s bittersweet. Arrow meant so much to me for so many years. It was a transformative journey… but it was time to let it go,” Stephen Amell wrote alongside a photo of himself in the Green Arrow suit on set. “I lace my boots and don the hood one last time tonight. I’ll forever cherish being an ambassador for Oliver Queen. Thank you for the honor.”
Emily Bett Rickards posted a photo of her and Amell’s chairs on set with the message, “Until the next one bud! And to the rest of you… The last 8 years would have been impossible without you all. thank you! X”
Ramsey teased looking ahead to the future alongside a series of photos from the finale set. “You may think it’s over. But is it ever really over on ARROW,” he wrote.
“Thank you to the most amazing cast and crew for the unforgettable moments, late night laughs and constant good energy on set,” Katie Cassidy wrote alongside this photo of the cast on set for the finale. “So much love for each and every one of you!”
The actress also shared her thoughts on the finale on Twitter. “I love the ending. I love seeing where everyone is ending up and the character they’ve grown to be. I love the way we’ve closed the chapter of Arrow,” she wrote before including a message of gratitude to the fans. “Thank you everyone for watching us for these past 8 years. I couldn’t ask for a better fandom.”
“The man. The myth. The legend. The hero. The legacy. The joy. The loss. The love. The heart,” Katherine McNamara wrote alongside this photo, recalling a line her character said in Season 8. “Thank you @cw_arrow. Thank you @stephenamell. Thank you Oliver Queen for letting me be a part of your story – even for a little bit.”
McNamara also shared a lengthy farewell to her character, Amell, Rickards, and everyone involved in the show. “Thank you, Mia Smoak, for being a fighter. You were broken, you were betrayed, you were beaten, but you never lost. You stood up. You opened your heart and found a way to heal. You beat the odds, punched back harder, and became a hero. Thank you for letting me learn from you, grow with you, and be a part of your story.”
“Thank you @StephenAmell and @EmilyBett for crafting #Olicity and laying the groundwork for a new generation to rise. You are both legends in my book,” she continued. “Thank you to @marcguggenheim @schwartzapproved @gberlanti @davidrapaport @thecw @warnerbrostv @arrowwriters @james2bambamford and
team for believing in me and entrusting me with a character and a storyline that took on a legacy and rose to meet it. Here’s to the #GreenArrow, to #Olicity, and to the future, whatever it may hold.”
“If there’s one person that deserves a s**t ton of credit for getting a show through eight seasons of production, it’s @stephenamell,” Paul Blackthorne wrote alongside a photo of the series’ lead.
“Well done that man. Bit of a legend really.”
Caity Lotz shared this photo from the finale set as well as a series of videos looking back on the series in her farewell.
“So many amazing moments I got to experience on #Arrow. Thank you to @gberlanti @marcguggenheim @ketomizu @schwartzapproved and all the other writers for writing such a complex and deep character for me to play,” she wrote. “And to @stephenamell @katiecassidy @paulblackthorne and all the other amazing actors I got to fight, play, or make out with. Arrow has been such a huge chapter in my life. I hope I can continue to honor this character I love so much.”
Echo Kellum posted his farewell and gratitude for the role alongside a series of photos from set.
“Can’t believe the #Arrow series finale is among us! This show. Wow. What a privilege it was to get to play here everyday. More pics coming later. Hard to say in words what this show and the people on it mean to me,” he wrote.
Grant Gustin paid tribute to the show on which fans met him as Barry Allen. “Congrats to the entire cast and crew of Arrow on a remarkable run. It takes an army to make a show like Arrow,” he wrote. “Thank you for letting me be a part of it and for always making me feel so welcome. I hope we have the opportunity to cross paths again.”
“So many souls have poured their blood, sweat, and tears into making #Arrow the success it’s been for the past 8 years,” Juliana Harkavy wrote alongside a photo from Season 5. “But without one in particular, we would have nothing.”
The actress then paid tribute to Amell: “Today is for @stephenamell. The legacy he leaves behind is a letter of life, love, passion, and persistence, and I hope you will carry it with you wherever you go. I am so honored to have been witness to the magic that happened here. To Stephen. The Green Arrow; who has without question, saved this city.”
Harkavy shared a quote from Winston Churchill along this photo from the Season 7 finale: “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”
“This day was all amazing energy. Sort of like the last day of high school. Everyone is going off to do big things. You know it, you can feel it. So all you want to do is enjoy each other one last time,” Rick Gonzalez wrote alongside a series of photos from the finale set.
“So honored to be a part of this show. To bring Rene to life. To embody #WildDog. What a gift. I hope you guys enjoy this final episode. It meant so much to us. Especially because it means so much to you. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of you at comic cons and talking about what it meant to you specifically. I carry that with me when I think of OUR show. We love you all,” he concluded.
“It’s been a beautiful journey,” Katrina Law wrote alongside a photo of her in character. “Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it.”
“I am honored to have been a part of this show and to come back at the end was a delicious cherry on top of an already deliciouser tv sundae!” Joe Dinicol wrote alongside a photo from the finale. “Thank you @schwartzapproved @marcguggenheim @gberlanti and @thecw and the whole team.”

Thank you for having me join in on the fun and for the opportunity to bring #RayPalmer & #TheATOM to life,” Brandon Routh, who debuted as Ray on Arrow in Season 3, wrote alongside a photo of Amell from Legends of Tomorrow Season 1.

The CW series that started it all for the Arrowverse said goodbye on Tuesday, and in honor of the Arrow series finale, cast members posted farewell messages on social media.
Whether it was thanking Stephen Amell, who led the series, or the rest of the cast, the crew, or the fans, these heartfelt tributes showed just how much the show meant to all involved.
