‘Arrow’: Behind the Scenes of the Final Season With the Cast (PHOTOS)
“One last time,” series star Stephen Amell wrote alongside a photo of the clapperboard for the premiere on July 11.
David Ramsey celebrated his return to set for the final season on July 10 with a laugh about something so common, it’s written on a T-shirt.
“Back to one more season of misplacing my gloves and Dani scolding me for it,” he wrote alongside the photo.
“First day back and we’re off to a Smoakin start and on target for a killer season,” Katherine McNamara wrote alongside a selfie next to her trailer on July 13.
Katie Cassidy Rodgers posted a photo of the Canaries’ masks on Instagram on July 21.
“Back at it for our final season 8 of #Arrow! So excited for you all to watch,” she wrote in the caption before asking, “What mask would you choose?”
“I had to get out of the gym before these two destroyed it and me,” Colin Donnell, who along with Josh Segarra (left) is returning for the final season, wrote on July 16. He captioned this photo of them and Rick Gonzalez (right) with the series’ hashtag as well as hashtags for their characters.
McNamara revealed she’s getting a look at the final season through new eyes in the caption of this selfie on July 16.
“From hunting shadows to shadowing?!? Thanks @cw_arrow @james2bambamford and @schwartzapproved for this opportunity to see the set through a new lens as a director shadow.” she wrote in the caption. “Learning so much and being inspired by this fantastic crew and production. #TheRealTeamArrow”
Bamford also posted a photo from McNamara shadowing him on set, with a tease about the premiere on July 19.
“Super shadow @kat.mcnamara and myself just after witnessing another ground breaking performance from the dynamic duo of @stephenamell and @davidpaulramsey,” he wrote in the caption. “#Arrow season 8 in full effect!”
On July 20, Andrea Sixtos posted a selfie of herself from her trailer and teased fans, “Just SO excited for you to see eps 801,” adding the hashtag, #YallDontEvenKnow and flame and archery emojis.
Amell teased a return to a familiar set with this photo and the caption, “Blast from the past! Blast from the past? Blast from the present?” on Twitter on July 17.
Bamford offered behind-the-scenes information to go along with a photo of a Season 8 set on July 16.
“Our trusty locations department guards our set when we walk away for lunch,” he wrote in the caption.
There are only 10 episodes left of Arrow before our farewell to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the teams in the present and future, and filming has already begun on the final season.
While the subject matter tends to be serious and dark (especially compared to some of the other Arrowverse shows), the cast does have fun on set, as you can see in the photos the stars have posted from behind the scenes of Season 8.
