After six years of anticipation, Chelsea Handler is back.

Her new hour-long, standup comedy special, Chelsea Handler: Evolution, premiering Thursday, October 22 on HBO Max, reflects her personal journey toward self-awareness aided by her good friend — cannabis.

She filmed the special this summer in her home state of New Jersey, in front of a live, socially distanced audience. Edgy but hilarious, Handler gives needed perspective on her evolving experiences with her family and her friendships.

And being one who never holds back, she discusses her introduction to therapy which unearthed why everyone on the planet annoys her.

The title of her bestselling memoir, Life will Be the Death of Me, says a lot.
