Luckily, Carter star Jerry O’Connell and his wife, Rebecca Romijn, are both actors with years of experience, so it was a no-brainer to have her guest star on the detective show.
In the WGN America show’s season finale, “The Ring,” Harley’s (O’Connell) acting career is in jeopardy after he and Sam (Sydney Poitier Heartsong) “find a new clue that reopens the biggest case of Harley’s life.”
After receiving a mysterious letter, Call Carter producer Cassidy (Romijn) visits Harley to try and reel him back into the TV star life and also proves to be an asset in the gang’s latest case.
“Meanwhile, after twenty-five years of believing Harley put the right criminal behind bars for his mother’s mysterious death, shocking new evidence surfaces, alluding that the killer is still out there,” a network revealed.
