Cougar Town Season 6

Cougar Town, “This One’s For Me” (Tuesday, March 3, 10:30/9:30c, TBS)

As Cougar Town continues with its sixth and final season tonight, we propose a toast to one of television’s most misunderstood comedies. In its early days on ABC, the show focused on Jules (Courteney Cox) struggling to rebuild her life after a divorce— hence the title. But the series quickly morphed into one of the smartest and wittiest ensemble comedies thanks to Jules’ clique of wine-guzzling friends more commonly known as the cul-de-sac gang. Over the past six years, some have left (we miss you, Bobby Cobb!) and all have evolved, especially with Travis (Dan Byrd) and Laurie (Busy Philipps) experiencing the joys of parenthood this season. Tonight, Laurie’s mothering skills are called into question after she starts treating Baby Bobby like an accessory, and Travis tries to claim a baby gift for himself. With only five episodes left, Cougar Town should be savored until the last drop. Cheers!
