Oprah will have a recurring role on Queen Sugar, inspired by Natalie Baszile’s novel, which will be written, produced and directed by Ava DuVernay. Queen Sugar is about a Los Angeles woman who trades her upscale life for an 800-acre sugar cane farm in Louisiana.
