Another big change is coming to the CNN anchor desk as Bianna Golodryga announced her departure from the network. The One World coanchor is leaving the program on Friday for a “new opportunity.”

“After nine wonderful years at CNN, I’ve decided to leave for an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. I’m grateful for the experiences, friendships, and support from fabulous colleagues during my CNN years. Exciting news to share very soon!” she tweeted on October 22.

Golodryga has been part of CNN for nine years and has coanchored One World on CNN International with Zain Asher. Asher will remain on the program, but it is unclear if she will get a new coanchor. Golodryga previously was the senior global affairs analyst.

According to Deadline, a CNN spokesperson confirmed her departure and that her last day on the network will be on October 23. Golodryga has not elaborated on her new opportunity quite yet, but told her followers to stay tuned.

Her departure comes just three days after Christiane Amanpour announced she is leaving CNN after 43 years. She will sign off for good in June 2027. CNN’s network’s chief international anchor will look for new projects, and her program will continue to air once a week starting in January.

Golodryga joined CNN full-time in September 2019 as a fill-in anchor and senior global affairs analyst. She joined One World in 2023 as part of the revamped CNN International weekday lineup. Before CNN, she was a coanchor on CBS This Morning, a weekend anchor on Good Morning America, a news and finance anchor at Yahoo, and a producer at CNBC.

The departure of both women comes as CNN falls under new ownership following the Skydance-led acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. This put CBS and CNN under the same corporate umbrella. However, neither of them has linked their departure to the ownership change.
