Ryan Seacrest Shares Fishing Trip Photos, But Fans Have One Question
Many Ryan Seacrest fans saw the crest of the wave, but didn’t see any fish in his latest post. The Wheel of Fortune host shared photos and videos from his fishing trip, and had some folks wondering if he was spinning a fishy tale.
“Gone fishing, come along,” Seacrest captioned the post on October 19. The first photo featured him taking a smiling selfie on a boat. He shared a dark, cloudy photo of the front of the boat, saying he and his friends started at 6am.
Seacrest, who had glasses and a curly hairstyle, then posted a photo of him with his coffee cup, asking who he would be without the drink. In a video, the host shared that he and his friends went fishing on Saturday near Catalina and that he hasn’t done a lot of fishing in his life, and only did it in Florida a few times with his dad.
“I’m excited to see how this goes. I’ll probably need some help,” Seacrest said.

The American Idol host then shared that they took their bikes with them, as well as what he ate on the boat, which included ground chopped turkey, fresh herbs, ginger, and green beans. Then, for lunch, he had a peanut butter sandwich. Seacrest then spent a lot of time inside the boat cooking what looked like rice and potatoes.
About halfway through the post, fans finally got to see him go fishing. A man helped Seacrest catch a big fish, but it never came above the water. When the man took it off the rod, Seacrest asked, “That’s it? I don’t get to see it?”
Seacrest then explained that they caught a 130lb. striped marlin, but let him go. He then exaggerated the weight of the fish and said it was a “full arm workout.”
The rest of the post featured Seacrest relaxing on the boat and cooking more food. Despite not keeping the fish, Seacrest said it turned out to be a “pretty perfect day.”
Fans reacted to the lack of fishing in the post. “I guess I’m not understanding.. you went fishing, don’t show any fish let alone eating any fish??” one said.
“I wanna see what kind of fish you caught!” a fan commented.
“Well, you should have gotten a quick picture,” a third added.
“Wait…we see the pumped arm, celebratory lamb chops, but no pics of the big fat (released) fish of questionable size?!?” one follower wrote.
