Former ESPN college football analyst David Pollack has shared a stunning update in his wife Lindsey’s battle with brain cancer, revealing that doctors can no longer find any trace of her tumor.

The high school sweethearts have been together for more than two decades and have two teenage children, 18-year-old Nicholas and 16-year-old Leah. Lindsey was originally diagnosed with brain cancer in March 2025 and recently underwent her third brain surgery—a biopsy at Duke University—in late September. However, when the lab results returned, her medical team was left speechless.

Pollack shared a post on X on October 18, sharing that he received a voicemail from the doctor while attending Nicholas’ high school football game. According to the doctor, the outcome was “stunning,” explaining that lab tests kept being sent back because pathologists “hadn’t seen anything like this and had no explanation” for why the tumor was no longer present.

“He doesn’t understand, but we do… GOD and PRAYER!” Pollack wrote on X, while expressing gratitude to supporters. “Thank you for faithfully praying! WHAT A GOD!”

Lindsey echoed those sentiments on Instagram, writing in a post that while medicine couldn’t explain the results, her family’s faith never wavered through months of prayers from believers.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for faithfully praying for us!,” Lindsey wrote to conclude the post.

The news sparked a wave of support and joyful reactions across the sports media community. College football analysts and colleagues, including Dan Orlovsky, Field Yates, Josh Pate, Sean Salisbury, and David Cone flooded social media with celebratory messages for the Pollack family.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOM,” Pate wrote in a comment underneath Pollack’s post, while Cone wrote, “Praise God!!!”

Before entering broadcasting, Pollack was a defensive lineman for the University of Georgia, earning SEC Player of the Year honors twice. After a sustaining a neck injury during his second season with the Cincinnati Bengals that ended his career with the NFL, he spent nearly a decade and a half as an analyst at ESPN from 2009 to 2023.

Pollack was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2020 and currently hosts the See Ball, Get Ball podcast while remaining active in non-profit and community initiatives.
