What To Know

  • After being briefly introduced in the series premiere, Nik Dodani’s Vik takes center stage in Episode 2.
  • Here, the actor teases what’s ahead in “Vik & Bo.”

The first case for Price, Siffre & Associates came in at the tail end of last week’s fast-paced series premiere for Cupertino as Vikram “Vik” Malhotra (Nik Dodani) stumbled into the nascent firm’s unfinished office, disheveled and bleeding, and declared that he needed a lawyer, now.

Since Michael Price (Mike Colter) and Olivia Siffre (Rachel Keller), with Christy’s (Ella Stiller) help, managed to carve out a victory for themselves as a team, they were quick to respond. But what does Vik need representation for, anyway?

Actor Nik Dodani, whose character was barely introduced in the pilot, spoke to TV Insider to give us a sense of what’s ahead in his case.

“Episode 2 backs up in time just a little bit to right before Vik enters the offices, and you see him in a deposition,” Dodani explains. “You see him in a bad deposition, and he decides that he needs to make a change and find some lawyers ASAP because his company is trying to screw him over.”

Dodani continues, “He jumps out of the window of the office building and runs across the street and hires the lawyers that are there.”

Those lawyers, of course, are Michael and Olivia, who’ve only just begun their shared practice after being ousted from their former jobs. As serious as this sounds, though, Dodani promises the show will continue with its comedy-drama styling.

“It’s very fun,” he says of the episode, titled “Vik & Bo.” “It’s very silly. It’s bordering on campy in the best way, and I think fans will enjoy it.”

The official description for Thursday’s (October 15) episode tells us, “A coder is being held responsible for an errant drone during an elaborate drone display.” Sounds like another wild David vs. Goliath grudge match for the legal eagles to tackle in tech city!
