‘DWTS’ Fans Demand JoJo Fletcher Get Her Chance After Claims She Was ‘Blocked’ From Show

JoJo Fletcher says she had the opportunity to compete on Dancing With the Stars after starring on The Bachelorette in 2016, but claims The Bachelor producers stopped her from being cast on the show.

“This was obviously, like, 10 years ago and it was kind of not allowed to go on,” she told StyleCaster. “So I got asked and then got blocked by the show to not go on, which I’m so devastated about.”

Fletcher clarified that she “would’ve accepted the offer,” but explained, “Because I was still under contract with the show, they did not want me to do Dancing With the Stars. They changed that since me, but I did not get to do it.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe, who starred on The Bachelorette in 2015, previously made similar claims about being blocked from appearing on DWTS, although she was finally cast five years later on Season 29, which she ended up winning. Things had seemingly changed in 2019 when Hannah Brown was part of the Season 28 cast (she also won) the same year her Bachelorette season aired.

Since then, Bachelorette stars Gabby Windey, Charity Lawson, and Jenn Tran all competed on DWTS. Now, fans think Fletcher deserves her chance.

“Let her go on now! Tyler [Cameron] gets to do it 7 years later,” one person commented. Another wrote, “@dancingwiththestars next season have her on! The nation would love it!” and someone else said, “@dancingwiththestars bring jojo on!” Other commenters also demanded “justice for JoJo” on a future season.

Of course, Fletcher’s life has changed quite a bit since her original DWTS offer. She has since married her final Bachelorette pick, Jordan Rodgers, and they welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in December 2025. The family currently lives in Puerto Rico, so it’s unclear if Fletcher would relocate to Los Angeles for DWTS.
