‘The Voice’ Season 30 Schedule, Explained: How Many Days a Week Is It On?
If you’re confused about when to tune in for new episodes of The Voice Season 30, you’ve come to the right place. The show’s schedule has been a bit inconsistent so far, with premiere week featuring three episodes, followed by just one episode on September 28, but then two more the following week on October 5 and October 6.
While Season 30 will eventually have a regular schedule, there’s still one more week with an extra episode. Below, we’re breaking it all down. Scroll down for more.
What days is The Voice Season 30 on?
The Voice is on both Monday and Tuesday once again on October 12 and October 13 for two hours (8/7c to 10/9c). Next week, it will switch to its regular schedule of just being on Monday nights for two hours from 8/7c to 10/9c.
The reason for the switch is NBC’s partnership with the NBA. Beginning on October 20, basketball games will be airing in The Voice‘s previous slot, so the singing competition will move to Monday nights only
What is Cut Week on The Voice Season 30?
In addition to the schedule change, The Voice will also be featuring a brand new round called Cut Week in Season 30. Once the Battle Rounds end, there will be no Knockout Round this year. Instead, we’ll be getting “the biggest elimination in Voice history” with Cut Week.

When Cut Week begins, each coach will have seven artists on their team (the six they chose in the Battles, plus their one Battle Round Steal). All four coaches will pick two singers to make the Live Shows, and the remaining five on each team will have to face off to fill the final spots during Cut Week.
Then, viewers will be able to vote one additional contestant through, and the Top 13 will be part of the Live Shows. For the Live Shows, three coaches will have three artists on their teams, while one will have four.
How many Live Show episodes in a week on The Voice Season 30?
Even once the Live Shows begin, The Voice will still only be on once a week (on Monday nights for two hours). That means eliminations will be made on the same night as the performances, with viewers getting the chance to vote throughout the episode for their favorites.
This is quite different from what we’ve seen in the past, where fans had the chance to vote overnight before the results were revealed in a second live episode on Tuesday nights.
“It’s real-time voting,” executive producer Audrey Morrissey told TV Insider. “So, everybody performs, and we find out that night who’s moving on.” There will be six weeks of Live Shows after the Battle Rounds and Cut Week.
