‘Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging’ TV Series in the Works at Netflix: Everything We Know
A new generation is about to be introduced to Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging as Netflix is reportedly working on a pilot based on Louise Rennison’s YA novels.
According to Variety, the streamer is collaborating with Fifth Season and Rise Films for the project as it takes shape. It would be the latest on-screen adaptation for Rennison’s books after 2008’s Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Below, we’re breaking down what you need to know about the potential TV show so far.
Has the Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging series been ordered?
Per Variety’s reporting, only a pilot for Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging has been ordered so far, with a greenlight for the series being contingent on how that episode turns out. So, while there is work being done to bring a new adaptation to the screen, fans should keep an eye out for the official series order, which has yet to be made.

What is Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging about?
As mentioned above, Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging is based on Louise Rennison’s YA novels, the series of which is known as Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. The series contains two books, 1999’s Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging, as well as 2000’s It’s OK, I’m Wearing Really Big Knickers. The books follow the ups-and-downs of British teen Georgia, who is contending with the struggles every adolescent girl faces, including wanting the perfect kiss with the perfect guy.
The film iteration that was released in 2008 starred Georgia Groome as Georgia Nicolson, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson stepping into the role of “sex god” Robbie. The movie was written and directed by Bend It Like Beckham‘s Gurinder Chadha.
Who is making Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging?
The Netflix pilot for Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging is being written by Monica Heisey, with Jim O’Hanlon attached to direct the episode. Meanwhile, Sam Leifer is attached as an executive producer for Rise Films, and Jon Jennings is producing, as Rachel Sheridan serves as casting director. The production will be set in the U.K.
