Why will The Ridge appeal to Top of the Lake & Karen Pirie fans?

The New Zealand setting and mystery will draw in fans of Top of the Lake, which starred Elisabeth Moss as an Australian detective. Also filmed along the New Zealand landscape, Top of the Lake‘s picturesque backgrounds are echoed in the nature-heavy aspects of Cassy’s death in The Ridge. Meanwhile, for fans of Karen Pirie, the British crime drama series, The Ridge puts Lauren Lyle in the investigative lead role once more, evoking her titular alter ego a bit for this new show.
