‘General Hospital’: Kelly Kruger Reveals When She’ll Debut as Serena Baldwin

General Hospital fans don’t have to wait much longer for Serena Baldwin’s return to Port Charles as actress Kelly Kruger teased that her debut is just around the corner.

“Who’s ready to meet Serena??? It’s official!!! My first air date on General Hospital will be 7/30,” Kruger shared on Instagram on Wednesday (July 15). “I hope you love her as much as I do!!!!”

She added, “So excited to be back on your screens again!! I am the luckiest person in the world to work with these amazingly talented people on GH. Thanks for welcoming me with open arms.”

General Hospital will mark Kruger’s return to the soap world, having previously played Mackenzie Browning on The Young and the Restless from 2002 to 2003 and again from 2018 to 2019. She has also appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Eva.

Kruger will be taking over the role of Serena, previously played by Carly Schroeder, the biological daughter of Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and the late Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson). The character was last seen on screen in 2017, mourning the death of her grandfather, the late Lee Baldwin.

Fans jumped into the Instagram comments to share their excitement about Kruger’s upcoming debut. “Can’t wait to have you back on our screens again,” wrote one user.

“Congrats Sees! We’re so excited to watch!” said another.

“I have loved you ever since Mac, can’t wait to see u interact with Lucy and your brother Cody,” another added.

Another wrote, “So excited and happy for you! You’re going to be great.”

Kruger previously told TV Insider, “I am so excited to be joining the show! It’s a literal dream come true to finally get to work with Frank Valentini [executive producer] and Mark Teschner [casting director] after all these years!”

She continued, “Daytime has a very special place in my heart, and I have always wanted to work with the actors and writers on this show. I truly believe the level of talent and work they put out is the absolute best.”
