Will There Be a Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Wedding Documentary?

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially married during a wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden — but will there be a documentary? That’s the question on fans’ minds following a report that a film production crew and the AMC Theatres CEO were present at the nuptials.

On Friday, July 3, the pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, said “I do” in New York City after three years of dating. Roughly 1,000 guests attended the ceremony, Swift’s rep Tree Paine said in a statement. Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, while the singer’s brother, Austin Swift, served as the man of honor and Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, was the best man.

“What she’s done is she’s filmed it herself. She’s paid for it, she’s paid for those crews, and she’ll probably edit it herself,” journalist Rob Shuter told NewsNation’s Cuomo on Friday. “And when she has a final product, she’ll put a ribbon on it, and then she’ll figure out what she wants to do with it.”

According to Shuter, Swift could release a wedding documentary in theaters, similar to what she did with her 2023 concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. Or, she could opt to release it on a streaming service, like she did with Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour – The End of an Era on Disney+ in 2025.

“She could use it for music videos,” he also pointed out. “Taylor Swift is an absolute genius at marketing herself. She’s a genius at publicity, and this is an opportunity that I think she’s going to really make sure not only speaks to the fans but also makes her a lot more money in the process.”

Additionally, AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron reportedly posted — and then deleted — a detailed account of Swift and Kelce’s wedding per Variety. AMC was the lead distributor of the record-breaking  Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

“It did not look like Madison Square Garden,” Aron wrote. “Immediately upon entry, everything… floors, walls, ceiling… was draped in peach and white. Large blown up pitctures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year, from one year-old to late teenager-hood, were on display.”

Aron continued, “A small portion of MSG was cordoned off, devoid of any notion that a basketball or hockey game ever shared that space. Somehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat. Everything draped off this time in green and white. Real flowers and I think artificial three welcomed fifteen rows of maybe 75 or so chairs. They say there were around one thousand attendees, but surprisingly, it all felt intimate and small. Everything was close.”

He also described Swift and Kelce’s vows as “long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing.” Aron added, “This is no small love. Each at the absolute pinnacle of their worlds. Each so obviously head over heels about having found their soulmate.“

On Instagram, Swift fans reacted to reports of a possible wedding documentary, with one Swiftie sharing, “I’m so mixed on the movie idea. On one hand, hell yes, I’d watch it! But on the other, I think they should keep it for themselves. Can’t wait until we finally see some pictures!!”

Another predicted, “[100% emoji] documentary coming.”

Someone else confessed, “Am not exaggerating when I say I will pay anything to watch it as a movie.”

As of writing, no announcement has been made about a Swift and Kelce wedding documentary.
