HGTV’s Jonathan Scott Shares Sneak Peak of His New Talk Show Set

Jonathan Scott just took another step toward getting his talk show to the small screen.

News broke earlier this month that CBS Media Ventures was developing a talk show hosted by the HGTV star, titled Better! With Jonathan Scott. Multiple outlets reported that a pilot for the series was set to be filmed in New York City this month, and that the series has yet to be picked up for a fall 2027 syndicated release.

According to one of Scott’s latest Instagram posts, the pilot has officially completed filming. “What just a year ago seemed like a dream, has now become a reality,” he wrote on Monday, June 29. “Had the most incredible time shooting the pilot for my talk show. I am SO thankful for my incredible team and guests who made it magical. Stay tuned.”

Scott’s post featured a behind-the-scenes photo of himself on the show’s set. Similar to shows such as The Drew Barrymore Show or The Kelly Clarkson Show, the series’ set appeared to feature a comfortable green couch, on which Scott will have conversations with guests.

Fans shared their excitement over the first look in the post’s comments. “Was an honor to be part of your audience! Loved chatting with you about show and tell at your children’s school too,” one user wrote. Another added, “Love the colors on the set… and the wallpaper.” Someone else shared, “Next chapter! Love the progression brother.”

A different person posted, “Congratulations Jonathan! Well deserved.” A separate commenter stated, “It was really fun! My hands genuinely hurt from all the clapping. You did great, and you’re so genuinely nice to your fans! We appreciate it and wish you the best!” Another fan gushed, “The pilot taping was an absolute showcase of your amazing talent and style! Congratulations!!”

Earlier this month, Jonathan explained via Instagram that he was inspired to create the talk show after interacting with clients and viewers over the years on his and his brother Drew Scott‘s HGTV shows.

“We’re developing BETTER! with Jonathan Scott — a new daytime talk show built around great conversations, practical home tips, inspiring stories, and amazing guests and lifestyle experts who can help all of us live a little better (while having some fun along the way),” he wrote on June 10.

He continued, “This project feels like a natural next chapter for me. Everything I’ve learned from renovating homes, meeting incredible people, and hearing your stories over the years has led here. And while Property Brothers and home renovations will remain a huge part of my life (don’t worry!), this gives me a chance to bring those lessons into a whole new conversation.”

Drew lovingly poked fun at his brother in the post’s comments, writing, “Is this going to be a talk show where every episode is 5 hours long? Because when you start talking…you don’t stop!”
