Who stars in Alice and Steve?
Alice and Steve is led by Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement, who play the titular best friends. Meanwhile, Season 1’s other stars include Joel Fry, Yali Topol Magalith, Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher, and Ebony Aboagye. Official Season 2 casting confirmations haven’t been announced, but we’ll remain hopeful that the full ensemble will return.
What is Alice and Steve about?
Alice and Steve is described as a six-part Hulu series following the “hilarious, messy, and complicated” exploration of a friendship as it tackles love and revenge. Labeled an “anti-romantic comedy,” Alice and Steve asks the question of how far you’d go for love or revenge when Alice learns her best friend, Steve, has started dating her 26-year-old daughter, Izzy (Magalith).
The predicament puts her in danger of losing her best friend and daughter all at once, as Alice does everything in her power to end the relationship. Unfortunately for Alice’s efforts, Steve is more than ready to put up a fight, paving the way for an all-out feud between the pals. The bottom line is their lives will never be the same. [Spoiler] As viewers witnessed in the final moments of Season 1, Alice and Steve’s lives were put in danger as they attempted to escape a fire at the venue for his planned wedding to Izzy. As Alice and Steve’s fate remained unknown with the credits rolling before a safe escape was achieved, we imagine Season 2 will explore that aftermath. Stay tuned though!

Alice and Steve is created and written by Sophie Goodhart and directed by Tom Kingsley. Meanwhile, Petra Fried, Andy Baker, and Wim De Greef executive produce the show for Clerkenwell Films. Additionally, Fran du Pille serves as a producer. Alice and Steve was commissioned as a Hulu Original series by Lee Mason, Vice President of Scripted, Disney+ EMEA.
