‘Today,’ ‘GMA,’ & ‘CBS Mornings’ Latest Ratings: Who’s on Top?

NBC News’ Today was once again the only morning show to post week-over-week gains for the week of May 25 as it held onto the top spot in the fierce ratings battle.
According to AdWeek, citing Nielsen’s national live+same-day big data plus program ratings for the week of May 25, Today averaged 2.95 million total viewers and 597,000 viewers in the coveted Adults 25-54 demo. While the show was down 1 percent in total viewers compared to the week prior, it was up 6 percent in the key demo.
Today, co-hosted by Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin, was also up significantly on the same period in 2025, with total viewers up 15 percent and the demo up 10 percent.
ABC News’ Good Morning America held onto the No. 2 spot, averaging 2.678 million total viewers and 425,000 demo viewers for the week of May 25. Compared to the week before, the show was down 2 percent in total viewers and down 3 percent in the key demo.
GMA, co-hosted by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan, was up year over year in total viewers, with a 2 percent increase. However, it was down 9 percent in the demo.
Meanwhile, CBS Mornings continued to trail, averaging 1.757 million total viewers and 282,000 demo viewers for the week of May 25. This was down 7 percent in total viewers and down 12 percent in the demo compared to the previous week.
Compared to last year, CBS Mornings, hosted by Gayle King and Nate Burleson, was down 4 percent in total viewers and down 18 percent in the demo. It was the only show to be down across both measured categories in the year-over-year comparison.

I used to watch daily one of the three, I can’t take the medicine commercials! more commercials than content on all three.

Do not care for Gayle King or Nate Burleson. Gayle is so inappropriate and talks so much! Does not pick-up on social cues at all. Nate is just arrogant and knows nothing apart from football.

Jenna Bush Hager on the fourth hour on NBC is so phony and tries to act so perfect but in reality she is a bore and adds nothing to the programming. Why is she still on. She from the 1950s and you need someone from today to appeal to the new generations. She also interrupts to get get noticed but most people dismiss her. Good!

CBS Morning show is insufferable and boring. There's no chemistry with the hosts and their guests are not happy to be there.
I used to watch Good Morning America but have returned to Today. The people are relatable funny and very sharp witted. I oive AL Roker. Their guests are fun and they want to he there.

I love GMA although a b c is making some questionable decisions lately. Not necessarily even GMA related but enough that i'm questioning my loyalty. It seems the more money they make, the greedier they become.
I do watch the third hour of the aToday show and Jenna and Sheinelle every day. We don't have the 3rd hour of GMA in my market.
One thing I wish they would do differently is when one of the main anchors or regulars are going to be out or even if they're out for a day, they should acknowledge it and say that so and so is on vacation today or out out today or on vacation this week.I hate that they just act like nothings different! That is so annoying, and it just really amazes me that that whole Amy and TJ scandal, nothing was said about their absence whatsoever. They just expected us to read it on the internet.And I think that that's really low, I think that they owe their viewers explanations, even if they don't go into detail, acknowledge the absence at least!
I'm GMA the main 3 hosts seem to be gone a lot without any explanation, and I know that sometimes, and only sometimes they may be out on an assignment or doing another story. But I don't think that that's most of the time, and again.I think they owe their viewers some transparency.and just sheer courtesy, to just acknowledge the absence! Is that so hard?

Good morning. The pictures of vacation in Hawaii were great. But the picture of baby in steering wheel scared me. I hope they were just sitting still. Are parents aware of a bomb in that steering wheel. Maybe you should send a disclaimer. Don’t do this at home. Just saying.
