TV’s Best Dressed: Favorite Looks from the 2015 SAG Awards
Last night’s 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards showed the stars have top-notch fashion sense off screen, too. The Orange Is the New Black cast traded in prison-wear for jaw-dropping gowns, Viola Davis swapped Annalise Keating’s side swept wig for a more natural look, and many more of TV’s hottest stars grabbed our attention with their red carpet looks. Check out some of our favorites:
Best Dressed TV Stars
Some of televisions most impressive ladies (Jennifer Aniston, come back to TV!) stunned on the red carpet. From left: Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting (The Big Bang Theory) in a bold red Romona Keveza; Viola Davis (Who won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for How to Get Away With Murder) rocking her natural hair while in a classy Max Mara; Jennifer Aniston in a gorgeous vintage John Galliano from his Spring 1998 collection; Sofia Vergara (Modern Family) in a sharp Donna Karan Atelier; Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Honorable Woman) in an ethereal Thakoon; and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) in a lacey Monique Lhuillier.
Best Dressed Cast: Game Of Thrones
Despite losing out to Downton Abbey for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, the Game Of Thrones cast brought it last night with their designer ensembles. From left: Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) wearing a sleek Osman with Christian Louboutin shoes; Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) in a watercolored Naeem Khan; Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) wearing a three-piece Salvatore Ferragamo tuxedo; Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) in an adorable red cut-out dress; Kit Harington (Jon Snow) donned a Burberry suit; Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) in a stunning piece by her British designer beau Giles Deacon; and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) in a black and navy Donna Karan Atelier.
Most Buzzed-About Accessory
Both Sophia Vergara and fiance Joe Manganiello (Scream Queens) looked stunning in Donna Karan Atelier and Ermenegildo Zegna — but what really stole the show was Vergara’s magnificent new engagement ring.
Stars that Brighten Up the Night
These dazzling outfits brought a beautiful range of color to the SAG Awards. From left: Uzo Aduba (Who won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her work on Orange Is the New Black) in a bright yellow Angel Sanchez; Sophia Bush (Chicago P.D.) in a Vivienne Westwood sweetheart with an Edie Parker clutch and Irene Neuwirth jewelry; Kelly Osbourne (Fashion Police) with hot pink lipstick and a slightly different take on her signature lavender mohawk; Matthew McConaughey (True Detective) in a shining blue Brioni suit; Caitriona Balfe (Outlander) in a Solace gown with red Gianvito Rossi shoes and a deep orange Rodo clutch.
