Two U.S. women are still in the hunt for the championship as the US Open enters the semifinal round at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York.

Americans Coco Gauff and Madison Keys move on to the tournament’s final four, which both take place Thursday, September 7, beginning at 7/6c on ESPN.

Sixth-seeded Gauff will face No. 10 seed Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic in the first match (followed by Keys’ match afterwards). Gauf reaches her first US Open semifinal, following her quarterfinal appearance in 2022. Her best finish in a Grand Slam came in the 2022 French Open final, where she was runner-up.

Muchova is also making her first US Open semis appearance, with 2021 Australian Open semifinal and 2023 French Open finals appearances on her Grand Slam résumé.

Keys, the No. 17 seed, faces a tough test in No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, who has reached three straight US Open semifinals and won the 2023 Australian Open.

Sabalenka has reached the semis in every Grand Slam this year. Keys reached the 2017 US Open final, and has reached the semifinals in five Grand Slams.

Winners advance to the final match on Saturday, September 9, at 4/3c on ESPN.

The men’s semifinals on Friday, September 8, at 3/2c and 7/6c on ESPN have No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz vs. No. 3 Daniil Medvedev and unseeded American underdog Ben Shelton vs. No. 2 Novak Djokovic.

The men’s final is scheduled for Sunday, September 10, at 4/3c on ESPN.
