Ash vs. Evil Dead and Blunt Talk will return to Starz on October 2, the network announced during its Television Critics Association session.

The Bruce Campbell-led Ash vs. Evil Dead kicks off the night at 8/7c, with a supersized episode, “Home.” In the installment, Ash is “forced to leave his cushy retirement in Jacksonville, return to his hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan, and mount up once again to face The Evil Dead. This time, he’ll have to form an uneasy alliance with his former enemy Ruby as Elk Grove becomes the nucleus to the most dangerous horror Ash has faced to date.” Joining the cast in Season 2 are Lee Majors (as Ash’s father, Brock), Ted Raimi (Ash’s childhood best friend, Chet) and Michelle Hurd (Ash’s high school sweetheart, Linda).

The second season of Patrick Stewart’s Blunt Talk will air immediately after at 8:35/7:35c, as “Walter Blunt and his team are on top of the network ratings when Walter runs into an old flame, in town to investigate a conspiracy involving one of Los Angeles’ most crucial environmental threats. Rosalie, Jim, Celia, Martin, and Shelly (with all their various neuroses intact) are by Walter’s side as he delves into his past, which leads him into a web of intrigue affecting the future of LA.”

Additionally, Starz has renewed Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience, though Season 2 will focus on new characters and storylines.
