Since Top Chef Season 23 aired this spring, some fans have wondered if champion Rhoda Magbitang and Sieger Bayer cooked up a romance since filming ended. The former addressed the question directly on Friday, October 16, giving an update on her dating life in a joint video with costar Duyen Ha.
While on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with Rhoda, Duyen relayed fan question from their Instagram “Ask Me Anything.” One fan asked, “Are Rhoda and Sieger dating for real?” The video was included in a carousel of other video responses to fan questions, several of which were love life-related.
“I’m sorry, what was the question?” Rhoda joked after taking a sip from her drink. She shook her head and cut right to the point: “No.”

Another fan asked if Rhoda and Duyen were dating themselves. “We are not dating,” Rhoda clarified. “She’s dating. She’s in a very serious relationship.”
It’s the first confirmation of Duyen’s relationship status. She chimed in, “With someone that is very private. Not everything has to be for the internet.”
Rhoda agreed, explaining that she and her costar have grown closer after the show. “If it looks like we’re dating, sorry to give that impression,” she said, Duyen adding, “Happy to be included in a lot of lesbians’ wet dreams. Love y’all.”
In another video in the carousel, the two replied to a fan questioning how they’re single. Duyen gushed that she’s actually in the best relationship of her life, while Rhoda laughed and didn’t reply when Duyen asked if she was single.
Rhoda, who’s the executive chef of CanoeHouse in Waimea, Hawaii, was last known to be in a relationship in 2023, per her social media. She last referenced the relationship in a since-deleted post, writing, “To the real MVP of my life. I love you, @ianochs. Happy anniversary, you stud muffin.”
