It’s football season, which means it’s Erin Andrews season. The sportscaster is the lead NFL sideline reporter for Fox Sports, so it tracks that she’s married to a former professional athlete.

Andrews wed Jarret Stoll in 2017. He recently made headlines for making a cameo in Taylor Swift‘s “Patient Zero” music video alongside Matt Stafford and Charissa Thompson‘s partner, Steve Cundari.

Below, we rounded up everything to know about Stoll and his relationship with Andrews, including their very public journey to have children. Scroll down for more.

Who is Erin Andrews’ husband?

Stoll is a retired professional hockey player. His NHL career began with the Edmonton Oilers in 2002. He was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in 2008 and played there for seven years, including on two Stanley Cup teams in 2012 and 2014.

After playing for the New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild in 2015, Stoll’s NHL career came to an end. He never made a formal retirement announcement, but began working in player development and as an analyst for the Los Angeles Kings in December 2016. He still holds this position today.

“I love both. Just preparing for the telecast, everything is so different with different teams coming in with different lineups, there’s just a different storyline for every game. I love getting ready for that,” Stoll told the NHL in 2017. “For player development, I love watching hockey, seeing kids play, getting on the ice with them, seeing them improve and seeing them eventually get called up.”

How did Erin Andrews meet her husband?

Andrews and Stoll met at the 2012 World Series. Prior to their first meeting, Stoll texted the pair’s mutual friend Michael Strahan and asked to be “set up” with Andrews. She declined because she was focused on covering the World Series for Fox Sports.

So Stoll took matters into his own hands. He attended a World Series game in San Francisco and snuck past two security guards to the dugout where Andrews was reporting from. She was impressed by his maneuver and agreed to have dinner with him after the World Series. The relationship blossomed from there.

Stoll proposed in 2016 during a visit to Disney World. Their wedding followed in Big Sky, Montana, in June 2017.

Did Erin Andrews have a baby?

Yes, Andrews and Stoll welcomed their first child, a son named Mack, via surrogate in 2023. Prior to Mack’s birth, Andrews often spoke publicly about her infertility journey.

Andrews first opened up about her struggles in 2021, revealing that she had undergone seven rounds of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) while trying to get pregnant. She had previously been diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016 and was urged to freeze embryos, which she did at the recommendation of her oncologist.

“I have been trying to do IVF treatment for a while now, but sometimes it doesn’t go the way you want it. Your body just doesn’t allow it,” Andrews shared in her 2021 post.

The couple decided to move forward with surrogacy after nine failed rounds of IVF. In 2023, Andrews revealed that she and her husband lost twins via a surrogate. Mack was their last embryo.

Andrews and Stoll are still hoping to expand their family. In April 2026, she revealed that she underwent another failed round of IVF. “I am crazy, and I am with a doctor that said, ‘Listen, we’ll call it when it’s time,'” she said on her podcast. “But I, like, am psychotic right now. I just feel like I believe my body can do it.”
