Season 28 of Big Brother has officially come to an end, closing the chapter on another houseguest flirtmance.
On October 1, Drew Campbell became a third-place finisher on Big Brother and the seventh member of the Season 28 jury after his in-game “dad,” Rick Devens, eliminated him from the game after the final Head of Household competition. After the finale, Drew sat down with Swooon to reveal his answer to the one question everyone has been asking: Does he have actual feelings for Melody Morris?
Let’s run it back: This season, Drew and Melody became close allies, originally forming the FAP alliance with Barrett Pfeiffer and Mallory Aurichio, before the jumbotron engineer and pipe queen were evicted. Throughout their time in the house, Drew and Melody shared a very flirty connection, and while they never crossed the line into a fully fledged showmance, like Rome Seymour and Lyric Medeiros, the internet dubbed their relationship the season’s flirtmance.

When asked about his relationship with Melody in the house, Drew joked, “We didn’t talk much.” However, after learning that the internet was head over heels for their connection, he explained, “I think Melody’s a really cool girl. Obviously pretty, super funny. Made me laugh. Made me cry. We fought a lot.”
So, does Drew want to continue a relationship with Melody now that they’re both outside of the BB house? He confessed, “I have no idea what’s in store for me or her. We don’t live close by. Only time will tell.”
After her eviction, Melody admitted to Swooon, “Do I have love in my heart for Drew? Absolutely.” However, that lov may be more friendly than some fans would hope. She explained, “I would love to continue to be his friend and talk to him. He’s awesome.”
Only time will tell whether Drew and Melody connect outside of the house, but for now, Drew’s taking a page out of host Julie Chen Moonves’ book, advising fans of the flirtmance, “Expect the unexpected.”
