‘Sister Wives’: Are Kody & Robyn Brown Still Together?
When Sister Wives returns on October 4, two familiar faces will be missing: Kody Brown and Robyn Brown. A trailer for the show’s 21st season recently confirmed that Kody and Robyn “will not be returning to the show” after 16 years of filming.
Christine Brown, Meri Brown, and Janelle Brown all continued to film their lives for Season 21, but Kody and Robyn have stepped away with no explanation. Of course, this has led to questions about the state of their relationship, and we rounded up everything we know below.
Are Kody and Robyn Brown still together?
Kody and Robyn are believed to still be together, although they have not publicly shared any updates recently. As of Season 20 of Sister Wives, which filmed at the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025, they were still married.
A fan on Reddit claimed to have seen Kody and Robyn together in Alaska in September 2026, but the sighting has not been verified. They have kept a very low-profile in recent months.
How did Kody and Robyn Brown meet?
Kody and Robyn first crossed paths in 2009 at church. “The first time I saw you in our church, we made that gaze…” Kody recalled on an episode of Sister Wives, prompting Robyn to clarify, “No, no, no. I made that gaze.”
Kody continued, “No, no, no. I looked longer. By the time you looked away, I actually said, ‘That was probably inappropriate. She’s probably married.'”
The first time Kody and Robyn actually spoke, though, was seemingly with some help from Meri. “Kody and I were together when we met her for the first time,” Meri shared on a 2025 Sister Wives episode. “We were driving down the road and our neighbors, our friends, were outside talking. So we stopped to say hi to our friends. He was talking to her cousin’s husband, and she and I kind of started talking. And we just kind of felt this connection, I don’t know. It felt like we could be friends.”
Kody said that Meri suggested he “look into” Robyn, and later, when he, Meri, and Christine went to a dance together, he claimed Meri urged him to ask Robyn to dance.
Their courtship began in 2010, and they spiritually married that same year. At the time, Kody was legally married to Meri and in spiritual marriages with Christine and Janelle. Kody eventually divorced Meri to legally marry Robyn in 2014 so he could adopt her children.
How many wives does Kody Brown have?
Robyn is currently Kody’s only wife. For years, though, he was also spiritually married to Meri, Christine, and Janelle.

Christine was the first to end her relationship with Kody. She announced their breakup in November 2021 and has since married David Woolley. Janelle and Kody announced their separation in December 2022, although they had actually nearly a year earlier. Finally, Meri and Kody confirmed their split in January 2023 after years of estrangement.
In August, Janelle went public with her relationship with a new man named Pete. Meri, meanwhile, was last linked to a man named Ron, whom she met at a speed dating event. During a February 2026 episode of Sister Wives, she clarified that she and Ron “don’t date,” but said they “hang out and enjoy each other’s company.”
Do Kody and Robyn Brown have kids?
Yes, Kody and Robyn share five children. After they legally tied the knot in 2014, Kody adopted Robyn’s three children from a previous marriage: Dayton (born January 2000), Aurora (born June 2002), and Breanna (born April 2004). They also share two biological children: Solmon (born October 2011) and Ariella (born January 2016).
Kody also fathered 13 other children with Meri, Janelle, and Christine. He and Meri share son Leon (born 1995). With Janelle, Kody is dad to Logan (born 1994), Maddie (born October 1995), Hunter (born 1997), Gabe (born 2001), and Savannah (born 2004). The exes’ son Garrison died in March 2024.
Kody and Christine are parents to Aspyn (born 1995), Mykelti (born 1996), Paedon (born 1998), Gwendlyn (born 2001), Ysabel (born 2003), and Truely (born 2010). Kody is estranged from most, if not all, of his children with his exes.
