During the September 21 edition of the 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 3 Tell All, Sarper Güven revealed that his marriage to Shekinah Garner is truly over. On September 22, he took to social media to take fans inside their four years together and set the record straight on their split — from his perspective.
He wrote, “Yes guys, as many of you can probably imagine, our fairytale love story has come to an end.” Looking back at their first season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 5, which premiered in 2023. “It started four years ago in Turkey, and unfortunately, this chapter of our lives has now ended. I’m really upset even writing this because I still love the SHEKINAH I met in Turkey. She was the first real love I’ve ever had in my life, and that’s exactly why this still hurts. But there is one thing I’m sure about: we simply couldn’t make it work anymore.”
As viewers know, Shekinah did not appear on the Tell All, revealing online that she had parted ways with both the 90 Day Fiancé franchise and her husband. “I did my best. I believe she probably did her best too,” Sarper confessed. “But sometimes, even you do your best, simply not enough!”
While both stars have exchanged words with the other on Instagram about their relationship issues, Sarper confirmed, “I don’t want to attack her or speak badly about her online, regardless of what has been said about me, talked sh*t about me, and tried to drag me down […] Whatever happened between us happened, and I don’t want to turn four years of memories into an online war.”
That said, he shared, “But I do want to make one thing clear. Despite what she has claimed, I never chose fame or money over her. I wish we could have found peace together. I wish I could have shared everything I have with her and built the simple life we once imagined.”
He added, “To make it clear, we have been separated for at least eight months since the beginning of 2026, and neither of us sees ourselves as married anymore. In my heart and in my mind, I am SINGLE now. Until I reached that point, I was 100% loyal to her. But when I finally took off my ring and, as painful as it was, took her out of that place in my heart, I started living my life as a SINGLE person.” As of writing, they are still legally married, according to Shekinah.
He concluded his relationship retrospective, writing, “There was real love there. There were real memories. And despite how it ended, I will never pretend those years meant nothing to me. I truly wish her the best in her life. Sometimes a fairytale doesn’t have the ending you expected.”

At this time, Shekinah has not responded to Sarper’s statement. However, she previously addressed whether she and Sarper could ever get back together. She claimed, “Once you sleep with someone else, there is no going back from that, and he knew that but is making choices knowing he can never recover from them.”
