When Is ‘Drawn Apart’ Coming Out? All About the ‘Drawn Together’ Sequel
Author Mercedes Ron is back with yet another Prime Video movie adaptation, Drawn Together. A romance forms between wealthy heiress Marfil Cortés (Ester Expósito) and her live-in bodyguard Sebastián Moore (Hugo Diego Garcia), but the enemies of Marfil’s mobster father and Sebastián’s secrets create obstacles for them.
The biggest one arrives in the cliffhanger ending, which pulls Marfil and Sebastián in different directions. Hence the title of the second book in Ron’s Enfrentados duology, Drawn Apart. Has Prime Video already greenlit a sequel movie to wrap up Marfil and Sebastián’s story on screen? Swooon has all the latest updates.
Will there be a Drawn Together 2?
Well, before Drawn Together even came out on September 9, Prime Video announced that it was making Drawn Apart. So you can expect all those loose ends to be wrapped up — hopefully with a happy ending — eventually.
What is Drawn Apart’s release date?
Though filming for the sequel has already wrapped, Prime Video has yet to share a release date. ”It’s finished...I have already watched it. It’s so good,” Ron told Forbes. ”I hope it comes out next year.”
Further, Ron’s book sequel isn’t even out yet. The duology will be completed on March 2, 2027, so it’s likely the movie won’t arrive any sooner than that.
What is Drawn Apart about?
Though there are differences between the book and the adaptation, we can look at the sequel book’s synopsis for movie plot hints. Marfil has been kidnapped by gangster Marcus Kozel. She’s a prisoner on his luxurious Miami estate. Sebastián has betrayed her, but Marfil can’t forget about him, even as Marcus’ obsession with her grows and family secrets are revealed. As Sebastián tries to find his way back to her, Marfil wonders who she can and can’t trust.

The stars teased the sequel as darker and more action-heavy than the first. The romance takes a backseat to the thriller elements. “It’s a mix of John Wick and Rambo and Taken, but with the heart of The Notebook,” Garcia told Swooon.
There’s also the matter of Marfil and Sebastián’s falling out, after it was revealed that Sebastián kidnapped her the first time. He’s an FBI agent, not a bodyguard, and he used Marfil to get to her criminal father. “She’s gonna have mixed feelings about Sebastián,” Ron said in a separate interview. “But I don’t want to make a spoiler. She loves him so much. So at the end, love always wins.”
Who is in the Drawn Apart cast?
Expósito and Garcia are confirmed to reprise their roles, though other cast members haven’t been revealed yet. Considering Marcus’ increased involvement in the sequel, there’s a good chance Eric Masip will play the villainous character again.
