Ladies First

Matt Roush says...

A chauvinist gets his comeuppance, and perhaps an awakening, in a fantasy-comedy starring Borat‘s Sacha Baron Cohen as boorish ad exec Damien Sachs, who’s accustomed to patronizing the women in his life in every way imaginable. Imagine his shock and dismay when, after accidentally knocking himself unconscious, he wakes to a bizarro world where a female-driven culture rules, from Burger Queen to a lady Pope in the Vatican. His workplace has likewise changed, and he finds himself working for the dynamic Alex Fox (Gone Girl‘s Rosamund Pike), the ambitious employee he barely acknowledged in his own self-involved universe. Whether you find this amusing or terrifying probably says a lot about you.
