Tito Nieves

Tito Nieves is a Puerto Rican-American salsa singer known as "The Pavarotti of Salsa" for his powerful voice and stage presence. Born Humberto Nieves on June 4, 1958, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and raised in the U.S., he began his music career in the late 1970s performing with Héctor Lavoe and the orchestra Conjunto Clásico. He launched his solo career in the mid-1980s and gained fame for singing salsa in English as well as Spanish, with hits like “I Like It Like That,” “El Amor Más Bonito,” and “Fabricando Fantasías.”

Nieves helped popularize salsa music beyond traditional Latin audiences and remained a prominent figure in the genre for decades. He has collaborated with numerous salsa legends and continues to record and perform internationally.
