The Tragically Hip, often referred to simply as The Hip, is a Canadian rock band formed in Kingston, Ontario, in 1984. Known for their distinctive blend of rock, poetry, and Canadiana, the band consisted of lead vocalist Gord Downie, guitarist Rob Baker, bassist Gord Sinclair, guitarist Paul Langlois, and drummer Johnny Fay. Over a career spanning more than three decades, they released 14 studio albums, won numerous Juno Awards, and became a cultural institution in Canada.
