Suzi Quatro is an American-born rock singer, bassist, songwriter, and actress who rose to fame in the 1970s as one of the first prominent female rock stars to front a band while playing an instrument. Born on June 3, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, she moved to the UK in the early 1970s, where she found success with hits like "Can the Can," "48 Crash," and "Devil Gate Drive."

Quatro became known for her leather-clad image and energetic stage presence, blending glam rock with hard rock and paving the way for future female rock musicians. She also gained popularity as an actress, especially for her recurring role as Leather Tuscadero on the TV show "Happy Days."
