Actress

Birth Place: Waltham Forest, London, England

Crossing seamlessly between the stage and the screen, Rochelle Neil first caught the attention of American audiences when she appeared in a four-episode arc on the comedy series "Episodes" (Showtime, 2011-17). Born in Essex, England, Neil first became interested in acting when her grade school class attended a production of "Romeo and Juliet." Neil was so taken with the experience that she went home and memorized all of Juliet's lines from the play. At age 13, she enrolled at London's Italia Conti Academy, where she studied for the next six years. She graduated around 2009, and in addition to becoming an emcee at Soho nightclub The Box, Neil landed a role in the UK touring production of "Chicago." The next year, she made her scripted TV debut on an episode of "Law & Order: UK" (ITV, 2009-2014), but she was soon back on stage, appearing as Louise in the West End production of "Ghost: The Musical" on the West End. In 2013, Neil became an understudy for the role of Tina Turner in the hit UK stage musical "Soul Sister," appearing in several well reviewed performances, and by 2014, she was starring in "Intimate Apparel" at The Park Theatre in London. In 2017, Neil relocated to Los Angeles to begin recording voice work for a role in the highly anticipated video game "Anthem," which led to her role on "Episodes." She went on to appear as a pilot in the action movie "Terminator: Dark Fate" (2019) before being cast on the Joss Whedon series "The Nevers" (HBO, 2020-).
