Peter Wolf is an American singer and musician, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band The J. Geils Band. Born on March 7, 1946, in The Bronx, New York, Wolf fronted the band from 1967 until 1983. Under his energetic stage presence and distinctive voice, The J. Geils Band achieved major hits such as "Centerfold," "Freeze Frame," and "Love Stinks."
After leaving the band, Wolf pursued a solo career, releasing albums including Lights Out (1984) and Sleepless (2002), earning critical acclaim and a dedicated following. He remains active as a solo performer and continues to tour and record.
