In 2005 he played supporting roles on Irish TV shows "Pure Mule" (RTÉ Two, 2005-2009), and "The Clinic" (RTÉ One, 2003-2009). The next year, Delaney made a major impression. He was a series regular on the first two seasons of the historical soap opera "The Tudors" (BBC Two/Showtime, 2007-2010) and had a six-episode arc on the third season of "Raw" (RTÉ, 2008, 2013), then played a supporting role in "The Man Who Knew Infinity" (2016) starring Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons.
