Miles Brown

Before Miles Brown was Miles Brown, he was known as Baby Boogaloo. Born in Oxnard, California, in 2004 he started dancing on stage at age 4 and never looked back. He performed on the "Ellen Degeneres Show" (2003-) in 2009, and during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Brown's first appearance in a feature film was in the dance battle film "Battlefield America" (2012) directed by Chris Stokes. For the next few years, Brown continued to dance professionally around the US and internationally. He also began to make guest appearances on TV series, beginning with "Raising Hope" (Fox, 2010-14) in 2012, and "Shameless" (Showtime, 2011-) in 2014. Also in 2014, Brown landed his first series regular role on "Black-ish" (ABC, 2014-). Created by veteran writer Kenya Barris, the show is a sitcom that portrays a multi-generational African-American family and their attitudes towards the cultural shifts of both race and family. Brown played Jack Johnson, the youngest, by a minute, of the Johnson clan (he has a twin sister, Diane). With veteran actors Anthony Anderson and Lawrence Fishburne playing his father and grandfather, respectively, the young Brown was provided with an opportunity learn his craft from two extremely accomplished performers who each have a unique perspective and approach to acting.
