Michael Weaver

Michael Weaver has long been associated with the comedy troupe Broken Lizard, scoring three supporting roles in their broad and bawdy movies, including 2002's cult classic, "Super Troopers." However, Weaver has actually appeared in an array of movies and television programs, and even recorded an album with his rock band, The New Black.

In fact, it was at a gig in Vancouver that an agent suggested that Weaver pursue acting. After taking some classes, Weaver landed his first job--a scene with acting legend Jack Lemmon in the TV movie "The Long Way Home." Then he really committed to the craft, studying acting full-time in New York, appearing in off-Broadway fare, and landing guest roles on shows like "Law & Order."

After moving to Los Angeles, he secured a recurring part on the down-home drama "Providence" and regular roles on the short-lived sitcoms "The Mullets" and "Notes from the Underbelly." However, being tight with Broken Lizard does have benefits. In 2005, thanks to impressing his "Club Dread" co-star and sometimes director Bill Paxton, Weaver earned a role in the golf biopic "The Greatest Game Ever Played."

A few years later, he sold a television show to Warner Bros. with the comedy quintet.
